Privacy Policy

SaaSIndex (“we”, “us”) operates saasindex.net, an independent review site for AI software. The site is run from Thailand. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit, why, and the choices you have. You do not need an account to use the site, and we do not ask you for any personal details.

Who is responsible for your data

SaaSIndex is the data controller for information collected through saasindex.net. You can reach us at contact@saasindex.net.

Information we collect

Collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs when you visit: your IP address, browser type, the page you came from, the pages you view and the time of your visit. We use this only in aggregate, to keep the site running and secure and to understand how it is used.

Cookies and similar technologies

  • Analytics cookies. Google Analytics 4 sets cookies (such as _ga) to measure visits and how pages are used, including which links readers click. We use this only in aggregate.
  • Affiliate tracking cookies. If you click a link to a tool and that tool runs an affiliate program, the vendor or its affiliate network (for example Impact.com) may set a cookie so a sign-up can be credited to SaaSIndex. After you accept, the Impact.com script on our pages may also set first-party cookies (names beginning IR_) for the same purpose. Cookies set on a vendor’s own site follow the vendor’s privacy policy.
  • Your cookie choice. We store your Accept or Reject choice in your browser’s local storage (si_consent) so the banner does not reappear on every page. It contains no personal information and never leaves your device.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell or rent personal information.

Why we use it (legal basis)

  • Running and securing the site (server logs): our legitimate interest in operating a safe, working website.
  • Analytics and affiliate measurement (cookies): your consent. Google Analytics and the affiliate tracking script only load after you click Accept in our cookie banner.

Third-party services

  • Hostinger: web hosting and server logs.
  • Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC): traffic measurement.
  • Impact.com and individual vendor affiliate programs: affiliate click and sign-up tracking.

Fonts and tool logos are served from our own server, so loading a page does not send your IP address to Google. Some of the providers above process data outside your country, including in the United States.

Your choices

  • When you first visit, a cookie banner asks whether you accept analytics and affiliate cookies. Nothing optional is loaded unless you click Accept, and the site works the same either way.
  • You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
  • You can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
  • Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time; withdrawing does not affect earlier processing.

Your rights

Thailand (PDPA)

Under Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562, you have the right to be informed, to access and obtain a copy of your personal data, to data portability, to object to processing, to request deletion or restriction, to correct inaccurate data, to withdraw consent, and to complain to the Office of the Personal Data Protection Committee.

EEA and UK (GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

California (CCPA/CPRA)

You may request to know what personal information is collected and to have it deleted. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@saasindex.net. We will reply within 30 days. Because we do not hold accounts or contact details, we may only be able to act on data that can be linked to you, such as analytics data tied to a device.

Data retention

Server access logs are kept by our hosting provider for security and operations. We can view only the most recent 7 days of logs, and we do not export or store them ourselves. Google Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Analytics account, after which Google deletes it automatically.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
